Dramatic Life Pattern

The RR practices documented in this article span thirteen issues of the Activity Analysis Network newsletter and a wider body of related work produced between September 2025 and March 2026.

In May 2026, I recognized that the trio of concepts I had recently developed — Theoretical Activity, Theoretical Enterprise, and Theoretical Platform — was itself a product of a smaller, nested confluence.

The present article adds a third application to the Dramatic Life Pattern series: Weave-AA, the alternating dance of Advancing and Analyzing woven into the structural space of Weave-the-Theory.

Each time, the word "watershed" appeared as a natural descriptor for a structural moment that changed the shape of what came before and after. In this article, I formally name and develop this pattern as Creative Watershed.

This chronicle is organized around a single watershed: October 2018. That month marks the moment when sustained theoretical book-writing became the primary creative mode — the transition from a practitioner identity to a theorist identity.

... taking Revisiting–Rebuilding as the starting weave-point — the Theme — and then asking what larger theoretical context surrounds it.

The expansion proposed here — from self-referential to other-directed RR practice — opens the theme of Revisiting and Rebuilding: A Strategy for Creative Identity Development onto the social space of Self-Other relations that is foundational to the Agency Cascade model from which it derives.
